Happy 30th!!

Today you are 30 weeks along! Only 10 (or less) to go!! I just can't wait!


Daddy and I went to the doctor to have our 4D ultrasound yesterday. Your face was too close to the placenta to get a good picture. We were able to see you some though and oh my are you precious!! You seem to have your Daddy's lips and nose & have really chubby cheeks. We are going back tomorrow after noon to try one more time. I really hope it works this time! I had hoped that seeing ou would get me through the next several weeks until you get here, but it only made me want to hold you even MORE!!

Mommy is home for spring break this week. I just happened to find out that your furniture is going to arrive on Thursday. It wasn't even supposed to ship until sometime next week. So, I rushed to work on painting the trim in your room. It took me quite ahwile. However, I think it looks good! We are getting your chair rail tomorrow and Daddy still has to finish the last coat or paint. We hope to get your furniture put together as soon as it gets here. I think your Daddy is as excited about it as I am.

I can't wait to see you again tomorrow! I love you with all my heart!!

Hello, sweet boy! I just wanted to update that all is well with you! I passed my 3-hour glucose test on Saturday. Although, it was excruciating to fast, be pricked 4 times with a needle (YUCK) and watch your daddy and Sissy eat fries & drink sweet tea when I could have none... it was worth it to know that we are ok! I was actually so grateful to Daddy and Sissy for coming along b/c they helped the time pass much quicker.

You are growing so much and are constantly moving. Daddy woke up in the middle of the night the other night and was feeling you. He said he couldn't believe how strong your movements were and how much you moved. He was amazed that I slept through it, but I'm really used to it and I LOVE it! You have discovered my ribs though & they are becoming your new favorite place to put your feet.

We get to go for our 4D ultrasound on Monday. Daddy is taking the day off. We are both really excited about seeing you! I hope we can get some good pictures of you!

Your bedding came in last week & we bought the paint for your room on Saturday. We've prepped, primed, and painted the first coat "All American Blue". We still have to paint another coat & the trim. We ordered your furniture and it should ship out after March 22. It's getting so close!!

I can't wait to meet you sweet boy! Only about 10 more weeks! I love you with all my heart!!

Not the best day...

Well, little man, I apologize for today not being a great day for us. I woke up at 3:30 this morning, throwing up, and I was sick all day today. I know you must be starving! I can't tolerate any food just yet though. All I really want is a cherry Icee, but your Daddy won't let me have one. He's worried about the amount of sugar in them.

Today, we got a call that I failed my 1 hour glucose test yesterday, so we have to fast & go in for the 3 hour test on Saturday. I'm really hoping we pass that one! mommy would not be the best gestational diabetes patient!

Everything looks great with you so far. We scheduled our 4D ultrasound for March 15th. I hope you cooperate so we can get some good pics of you! I can't wait to see you! I'm so excited!!

We're getting there...

Tonight is our last night in the 2nd trimester!! Tomorrow we move on to the third & final!! It's so hard to believe! It seems like just yesterday that I got my positive test result & found out you were on your way.

We have had so many exciting things going on to get ready for you. This weekend we prepped your room for painting. I ordered your bedding last week & it should be here in a few days. I have to wait until then to make certain of the color I want to paint the walls. Tonight we ordered your furniture!! I can't wait for it to get here. It's expected to all be here within the next couple of weeks. I have already bought things I want to use to decorate your room. Your room will be blue and chocolate. I'm decorating with some cute sports things that I've found. I've been so picky about how they look because I have this "vision" of how I want it to be. I am so incerdibly excited about putting it all together!!!

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I'm very anxious to check on you and know that everything is going ok. I have had a few unusual aches, pains & quite a bit of exhaustion lately. We're pretty sure it's just part of being pregnant, but will be happy to hear the everything is going as it should. This pregnancy is so different than my pregnancy with your Sissy was. Plus, I was 10 years younger & not working then. It's a lot harder on me at 33 and working full-time. :0) You are so very worth every little ache and pain though!

I'm hoping that I can schedule your 3D/4D ultrasound tomorrow for the week of March 16th. Mommy will be on spring break & Daddy is going to take a day off so we can have a fun day together. The highlight, of course, will be seeing you! I can't wait to see what your sweet little face looks like! I'm so anxious to see if you got Mommy's "Nichols" chin - I'm really hoping you do! Oh, Carter, I just can't possibly put into words how much I love you and how much I can't wait to hold you in my arms!! I do still cherish feeling you roll and bump and kick inside me though.
